Broadcast Version For Maritime Mobile Service Network and Other Networks 

On May 1, 2024, a distress signal was  received from SV Yancey at position:

20-29.47N 079-39.40W.

RCC Miami advised that the position is between the south side of Cuba and Cayman Brac. The Coast Guard cannot yet determine the nature of distress or the validity of signal due to the EPIRB not being re-registered after the owner sold the boat.

RCC Miami has advised the EPIRB has stopped pinging a signal as of the afternoon of May 1, 2024. RCC requests further information.

Keep a sharp lookout, assist if possible and provide any sightings or current information to RCC Miami.
