UPDATE posted on Boat Watch Facebook Group December 22, 2023

It is with great regret that I am passing on the news that RCC New Zealand has called off their search for SV Andiamo. That’s all but an official proclamation that they’re lost at sea. For those of you in Tongawho knew them and would like to pay respects, stand by for info on the wake being arranged for them in January.

A Bolo has been issued for SV ANDIAMO, with Dave and Maureen Trumble on board. They left Vava’u, Tonga on October 3 or 4, for Fiji.

SV ANDIAMO is a 1975 Islander, 36 feet, with a wind vane, and is white with a blue trim. The engine is not working.

Keep a sharp lookout, assist if possible and make a report to Maritime Operations, New Zealand.
