Update March 20, 2024

Discontinue Bolo: Cruisers are reporting that they have talked to SV Penelope on the VHF and they are currently headed to Espiritu Santo and then on to La Paz by Friday. All is well on board.

Broadcast Version For Maritime Mobile Service Network and Other Networks 

BOLO for SV PENELOPE overdue Loreto (26-00.76N 111-20.06W) to LaPaz (24-08.53N 110-18.65W). SV PENELOPE is a 40 foot sloop, white hull, with for red stripes on the bow. There are three U.S. citizens on board: The owner Jesse Lockwood; Mitchel Harris and Patrick Smith. All three are approximately 27 years old.

SV PENELOPE left Loreto, Mexico on March 7, 2024 and made a call to friends from land on March 9, 2024.

Vessels in the vicinity are requested to keep a sharp lookout, assist if possible and report to RCC Alameda.
