JRCC Miami has requested assistance in locating SV Sanctuary, a 50 foot Gulfstar on passage from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to St. Thomas USVI. SPOT position as of 4 PM Eastern was 21-04.48 / 066-54.30.24. This is approximately 198 NM NW of St. Thomas.

Three persons on board departed on November 19, 2021 and have an ETA of November 29, 2021. The vessel has an EPIRB and a SPOT device.

USCG 7th District has issued an EGC Message. Report all sightings to JRCC Miami (305-415-6800).

 

UPDATE Nov. 26,2021 4:00 PM EasternBoat Watch has determined the position of SV Sanctuary at 4 PM Eastern to be at 21-04.48 / 066-54.30.24. This is approximately 198 NM NW of St. Thomas.  On board is Karl Adler, age 70 and two hired crew. JRCC Miami has been advised.
