JRCC Honolulu advised SV Pretty Woman has been located and is fine. An AMVER alert was issued and a ship communicated with the captain. He is proceeding on to Oregon.

SV Pretty Woman with solo US captain, James L.Bates, age 80 years, left Oahu Hawaii on June 19, 2024 for Coos Bay Oregon. Friends are concerned as they have had no contact with the vessel for 7 days and nothing on Vessel Finder for 6 days.

SV is a Cal 40 with an EPIRB, life raft, class A-AIS, and a Garmin In Reach. The MMSI number is 338505385.

SV Pretty Woman’s last known location is: 33-01.00N 161-18.00W AT 222200Z JUN

Keep a sharp lookout, assist if possible and report any sightings to JRCC Honolulu or your nearest Coast Guard.
