Cancel Bolo – SV Drifter has arrived safely in BVI
SV Drifter experienced loss of electricity, engine failure and no wind but has managed to sail in to BVI. SV is safe and the family and friends are grateful for USCG and everyone’s assistance.

USCG San Juan is looking for SV Drifter that departed Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic on April 5, 2024 for the British Virgin Islands and is unreported. Their intended route was the northern passage above the Mona Passage.
On board are Jason England and Paul Hopkins, both in their 60’s.
The boat is described as a US flagged, Hanse 47OE with Epirb, white hull with navy blue trim, AIS – Class B, MMSI 368190710 and call sign WDM2708.
Keep a sharp lookout, assist if possible and report any sightings to USCG San Juan.
