“The USCG Sector San Juan received a report of an unmanned, adrift 15’ white dinghy named ZIGGY. The dinghy bore the following markings: “High Field Sport 520” and serial number “SRR 199779.” The dinghy was located approximately 30NM south of St Croix, USVIs.
Indicators of recent use included the following: the dinghy appeared new; a 100HP Yamaha O/B engine was in the down position; the key remained in the ignition; and flip-flops along with an empty water bottle were found onboard.
USCG Sector San Juan requests that any mariners with information regarding the owner of this dinghy contact them directly”.
