UPDATE:January 23, 2021 – RCC Norfolk advised that the Swedish sailor was rescued by the Cargo Ship Singapore Express at
26 07.360 N and 056 53.280 W.
The vessel is a Bavaria 46. He communicated via a Garmin In Reach. The vessel has now been found by a Bahamian tow/salvage company and is enroute to Freeport, Bahamas.

UPDATE: January 22, 2021
A solo Swedish sailor was rescued from the SV Archipelago by a cargo ship in May of 2020. He departed Ft. de France, Martinique on May 5, 2020 and was dismasted on approximately May 13, 2020, 500 nm from the nearest port. He communicated and coordinated via a Garmin In Reach.
It is requested that anyone knowing this sailor pass on the information below of the current location of his boat.

The USCG advised the vessel is registered in Stockholm, Sweden, and is a monohull. Photos should be forthcoming.

The USCG Rescue Coordination Center, Miami, FL has asked Boatwatch.org assistance in identifying a dismasted, unoccupied, and adrift sailing vessel located in position
25-57.7N / 075-01.8W, or approximately 80 NM NE of Eleuthera, Bahamas.
The vessel is white in color and approximately 10 to 12 meters in length.
