BOLO SV LIAHONA Maine to Puerto Rico via Bermuda
RCC Bermuda and USCG District East are coordinating the lookout for SV LIAHONA on passage from Maine to Puerto Rico via Bermuda with two persons on board. SV LIAHONA was due in Bermuda on November 6, 2025, and the last known position from a Garmin device was on November 5, 2025 at 20:12 Atlantic Time at 33-33.47N and 064-06.51. At that time Professional Captain Nathan Perrins advised his ground support that he was 16 hours out of Bermuda and needed fuel. SV LIAHONA has not been heard from since and may have diverted to go straight to Puerto Rico.
SV LIAHONA is a 37-foot 2005 Pacific Seacraft cutter rigged sailboat with a Garmin In Reach (551-345-7964), Call Sign: WDC5117, EPIRB 2DCC4 40DE6 FFBFF, and possibly an AIS receive only. SV has a white hull, canoe stern, with dark blue trim, dodger, a jib and a staysail.
On board are Nathan Perrins, 48 years old and US Citizen. Also, on board is Marie Descoubes, 28years old and a French citizen. Both are fit, in good health and experienced sailors. The sailing vessel has three owners.
RCC Bermuda is the SAR Mission Coordinator and Coast Guard District East is currently supporting this case with a C-130.
