SV RANA II Stolen – Last Seen In Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Canary Islands

ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE MARITIME MOBILE SERVICE NET
All vessels in the Mediterranean are requested to keep a sharp lookout for the S/V RANA II. This vessel is a 1974, 48 foot Olympic sailboat (Made in Greece) which was stolen in Marseille, France on 24 JANUARY 2020. A surveillance camera confirmed the boat was stolen at 0500 hrs on 24 January 2020.
The vessel was last seen in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, a city and capital of Gran Canaria island, in the Canary Islands, in the Atlantic Ocean on 19 FEBRUARY 2020, but escaped without being caught. Anyone spotting this vessel should report it to any Coast Guard or Law Enforcement Authority.
