Boat Watch for SV Carol K – Bolo Canceled

USCG confirms cancelation of Bolo. SSB Doo Dah radio net at 5 PM confirmed this good news.
The Carol K. was spotted by an aerial crew out of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, approximately 100 miles off the coast of Cape Henry. They will head to Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, the Coast Guard said.
Bravo Zulu to the USCG for locating them 100 miles off the coast of Cape Henry, NC. They were found by a rescue aircraft flying a HC-130 out of Elizabeth City, NC The USCG searched 30,000 miles since Saturday searching for the Carol K from Massachusetts to North Carolina.

USCG has confirmed that two persons are on board the SV Carol K, Ryan Hollis and Joshua Kane Cairone and one dog named Louis, the Frenchie. This Facebook post shows them 12 NM south of Newport Rhode Island on Wednesday October 23, 2019 at 12:41 PM. It is believed the boat intended to obtained weather information in Norfolk before heading to Miami and the BVI’s.
Urgent marine bulletins are being broadcast along the eastern seaboard of the United States and the USCG is actively searching.
All cruisers along the Eastern seaboard are asked to keep a sharp lookout and report any sightings of the Carol K to USCG Northeast at 617-223-8555 or to Boat Watch.
