April, 8, 2025 – Good News – USCG District One Boston Bravo Zulu – SV Hot Chocolate has been located by a cargo ship and a USCG plane. The sailors are in the process of being rescued. Thanks to all who helped.

BOLO SV Hot Chocolate New Haven Connecticut to Ocracoke North Carolina

USCG District One has asked for assistance in locating SV Hot Chocolate which left New Haven, Connecticut on Saturday April 5, 2025 enroute off shore to Ocracoke, North Carolina. The trip would be approximately 575 miles. The captain believed the trip would take five days. The sailors reported that the engine failed the first day.

There are three persons in there 30’s on board this vessel, including Captain Jeremy. The SV Hot Chocolate is a monohull and has a red hull and a 25 HP Evinrude engine on the stern.
